Poverty

What an all encompassing word! Whether it is spiritual or economical, it speaks volumes. Whether it's by choice or no, its affects can be devasting. In a world where impoverished people dwell, what are we doing to show them they can live differently? I can't change people's hearts and I can't change their circumstances, but God can :)

Speaking of...

Speaking of Grace, these video presentations about the grace of God are really super! http://www.lightsource.com/Ministry/turning_point/20080629/

How cool!

If you ever wondered if God is still at work, He is. Of course, I am stating the obvious. It is amazing to see how God draws people to Himself. He longs for people to know Him. He has given us (Christians) the responsibility of telling them the glorious "Good News."
I have yet to finish reading the following article so I by no means know whether or not it is biblical through and through, but I do know that it definitely provides some "food for thought."

Heart Change

"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20

Joshua 1:8 "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation! All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near;Praise Him in glad adoration.

Praise to the Lord, who over all things so wondrously reigneth,Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!Hast thou not seen how thy desires ever have beenGranted in what He ordaineth?

Praise to the Lord, who hath fearfully, wondrously, made thee;Health hath vouchsafed and, when heedlessly falling, hath stayed thee. What need or grief ever hath failed of relief?Wings of His mercy did shade thee.

Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee.Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,If with His love He befriend thee.

Praise to the Lord, who, when tempests their warfare are waging,Who, when the elements madly around thee are raging,Biddeth them cease, turneth their fury to peace,Whirlwinds and waters assuaging.

Praise to the Lord, who, when darkness of sin is abounding,Who, when the godless do triumph, all virtue confounding,Sheddeth His light, chaseth the horrors of night,Saints with His mercy surrounding.

Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him!All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him.Let the Amen sound from His people again,Gladly for aye we adore Him. -Joachim Neander

God

God, You never change. You have stayed the same through out the course of time.
The God who demands holiness is the same God who has given us mercy and grace through His Son Jesus Christ. My human mind cannot comprehend it all. There is not anything that happens that God does not know about. And yet another marvel, that He would know every intricate detail about me and still love me. How can this be?
Imagine a creation that you have made with your own hands. Do you not cherish it? You created it. It is a reflection of you. You created it for a specific purpose. It is no less the same with God. We are His creation, created in His image for His honor and glory. We are to be a reflection of Him. MMMMM? This is definitely something to ponder, created to be a reflection of God's glory. Wow! "Were it not for grace..." Praise the Lord for His goodness, mercy, and power. Galatians 2:20
