"Absolute Surrender"
Here are a few insights after reading some of Andrew Murray's book, "Absolute Surrender." It's ok to come to God with a weak, frail, and sinful heart. He knows us better than we know ourselves. He only asks that we come. Come and surrender all that we are or all that we are not. Our inability to live the Christian life can be quite daunting, but nonetheless it is true. A life lived in the flesh is one of misery, but a life lived in the power of the Spirit is one of peace, joy, and contentment. The unfathomable riches of God's grace that He would pursue us despite who we are, that He would long to have a close personal relationship with us. Will life be perfect, will we be perfect? No, but we can depend and trust The ONE who is perfect and who knows the path that is before us. What an awesome concept that if we come confessing our weaknesses, failures, and our inability to do anything good, that God has forgiven us and that He will give us the power through the Holy Spirit to live the Christian life.
